The Fairy of Nallihan

 

      Once upon a time, there was a field in Nallihan and there was also a lake in the field. There lived many fairies in the lake.
      One day, a man went to the field and saw the fairies. He fell in love with the prettiest and most talented of them and he took her to the village with him. Then, they got married. She brought richness to the villagers. When they realised that she was not a human being, they decided to throw her away.  The man took her back to the lake and when her brothers and sisters saw her, they killed her. But, as she was immortal, she came back to take her revenge: the villagers lost their richness and they could never be happy again.
