It was around 1911 when my family and I migrated to Turkey after the terrorism attacks from Serbia. But, before we moved from Yugoslavia, my family burried all our valuble things, including some gold pieces of jewellery we had. When we moved to Turkey, I was 11 years old . First, we settled in Eskisehir and then we settled in Ankara.
Later on, my grandmother got married to a Turkish man who was a farmer and had six children. My father was the second oldest son. But my grandfather spent all my grandmother’s money. Later on, my father got married in the same village and then they moved to Ankara. I am the forth girl of the six children in our family. I got married after I graduated from high school and had two boys.
I had never lived in a village before I got married, but, later on, I went to live in my husband’s village and lived there all the time. I became more important than my husband in this humble village. Everybody likes me and I enjoy this very much.
